Required Campaign Reporting for Candidates
The State of Texas requires that any candidate who files for a place on the ballot must report a Campaign Treasurer and must report any Campaign Finances used by the candidate to the State of Texas on a monthly basis or, under special circumstances, after the election. To better understand this process, the Texas Ethics Commission provides a training video on their website. Go to www.lcmud.com/elections to view the video. You will choose the Candidate/Officeholder section and click the Start Your Campaign link.
