Blue Lake Estates Vacant Lots Llano County remains under a Burn Ban due to severe drought conditions. We would like to remind you to keep your vacant lots free of dead and downed trees, or tall, overgrown and dried out vegetation to prevent the risk of wildfire spread. The next annual vacant lot mowing program is being discussed for possibility in spring but we would like to call on property owners to take care now and help keep Blue Lake a Firewise community. We encourage you to engage your favorite lawn care crew today while their season is slow. You can call the MUD office for suggestions. Most vacant lots in Blue Lake look like the picture below where dead grass is two feet tall or higher. And, several are in worse condition with larger, thicker underbrush taking over and broken, dead limbs throughout. If your lot looks like this or worse, it is an unsafe condition for the community. Remember, it is not only a good public safety practice to keep your vacant lot safe from wildfires, but it is also a BLEPOA condition, covenant, and restriction. Failing to maintain your vacant lot can be enforced with fines, and further, liens. Be a good neighbor and a safety conscious landowner by taking responsibility now before a disaster strikes.
No Fireworks Allowed We hope you enjoy your Christmas and New Year’s celebrations but please remember that residential fireworks are strictly prohibited in Blue Lake.
Waste Management on Schedule in Blue Lake for the Holidays No changes to the residential trash service schedule are expected with the upcoming holidays. However, the large community dumpsters on Blue Lake Drive will be serviced one day later on Saturday. Also, the recycle dumpster is scheduled be serviced as soon as possible.
