Stage 2 Drought Restrictions Now in Effect
Over the weekend, combined storage in lakes Travis and Buchanan, the two water supply reservoirs in the Highland Lakes, fell below 900,000 acre-feet, or about 46% of capacity, and reached the lowest combined storage since 2013. LCRA has entered Stage 2 of its drought response. Llano County MUD#1, a customer of LCRA, is required to implement mandatory water restrictions. Per the Drought Contingency Plan adopted in 2014 by the Board of Directors, all Llano County MUD#1 customers are now in Stage 2 Drought Restrictions for water use.
