The District provides services to Blue Lake, and some services to Deerhaven, Sandy Harbor, and the Trails of Horseshoe Bay. Blue Lake applicants will be water, wastewater, and garbage customers. Sandy Harbor & Deerhaven applicants are wastewater customers only. The Trails of Horseshoe Bay applicants are wastewater disposal customers only.
Blue Lake Estates -
Residents in this community are In-District customers and are water, sewer, and garbage customers. All three services are billed to the customer when there is an active water meter or sewer system on their property. For Water, water is provided to customers from the distribution system provided by the District's water treatment plant. The water treatment plant draws water from the lake and the District treats the water before it is distributed to the customers. Residents are responsible to adhere to any drought response measures that are adopted by the District for water use, are responsible to prevent lead & copper contamination at their property, and responsible for the prevention of back flow contamination from their property. For Sewer, residents are required to install grinder systems which process sewer waste before it goes to the main line. The grinder system is purchased by the property owner, and the equipment is provided by the District. After installation and inspections, the grinder system at the home is maintained by the District for the life of the system, other than owner negligence of the equipment. For Garbage, residential trash services are provided to each home that has has an active electric meter, and is billed to each customer regardless if they elect to have a toter or not.
Deerhaven-
Residents in this community are Out-of-District customers and are sewer customers only. They are eligible to receive services if they are within 200 ft of a District owned sewer main line. Anything beyond that must be brought to the lot at the expense of the property owner if they wish to have sewer services. Otherwise, they are subject to the requirements of an OSSF system under the Llano County Environmental Services jurisdiction.
Sandy Harbor -
Residents in this community are Out-of-District customers and are sewer customers only. They are eligible to receive services if they are within 200 ft of a District owned sewer main line. Anything beyond that must be brought to the lot at the expense of the property owner if they wish to have sewer services. Otherwise, they are subject to the requirements of an OSSF system under the Llano County Environmental Services jurisdiction.
The Trails of Horseshoe Bay -
Residents in this community are sewer disposal customers only. They have grinder systems installed and maintained by the City of Horseshoe Bay, but the disposal lines are directed to Llano County MUD #1's main disposal lift station that is operated and owned by our District. Residents are billed for the disposal of sewer from their home through the District's disposal stations and lines. They are also billed by the City of Horsesehoe Bay for maintenance of their grinder systems by the City in perpetuity.
